Daydreaming is Smart, Stay Cool for Healing Sleep, and a Musical Interlude

  • Ever been shamed or dismissed for ‘daydreaming’? Well, it can actually make you a smarter, more integrated human being! When your mind wanders, it engages in a form of default neural processing that is suppressed when attention is focused on the outside world. Rest is not Idleness.
  • Temperature uncomfortably hot in bed at night? Don’t mess with the healing anti-inflammatory magic that is your sleep. “The number one thing to do is on hot days, in the morning, pull the shades on all the windows, close all the doors and try to trap all the cooling that’s occurred over night.” Make sure you are doing the simple, most important things to stay cool. 
  • And…a lullaby for you, called “Blue Mind” by artist Alexi Murdoch. It has secrets about the timeless deeper waters of sleep. 🙂
